We aren't just providers, we are parents too and we have been on both sides of care for complex kids. It is from our own frustration that we created a practice that parents can trust and progress can be made. All of our providers and staff are committed to providing the expertise you need and the compassion you deserve.
We specialize in helping families navigate the medical comorbidities of multiple complex disorders including autism spectrum disorder, connective tissue disorders, genetic issues, mitochondrial dysfunction, and more.
We begin by gathering and analyzing each patient's medical history. Additional comprehensive testing is done as needed to fill in the gaps. This gives us the information we need to systematically identify and treat complex constellations of symptoms. Our goal is improved health and quality of life for all our patients.
We believe that the best, most comprehensive care happens when multiple experts in multiple disciplines work together on each case. This collaborative, individualized care approach paired with our unique framework for systematic medical investigation is why doctors across the country send their toughest cases to our clinic.
Dr. Brian Wise knows first-hand the struggles of being sick, as well as the hope of being healthy. When he was 6 months old, he developed severe asthma, eczema, and allergies. The summers of his youth were spent at a major academic hospital, where doctors sought solutions to his medical problems. He owes the life he has today to the innovative thinking of the medical team treating him. He crafted his patient-oriented treatment philosophy after these gifted physicians who were also creative and thought "outside the box" to meet the needs of their patients.
Dr. Wise holds a Board Certification in Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatry. He has a love of medical knowledge and is consistently pursuing certifications and training in a number of specialty areas of mental health and medicine in order to provide the newest and most effective therapies to his patients.
Additionally, Dr. Wise is board-certified by the Academy of Integrative and Holistic Medicine for treating numerous disorders and symptoms from a holistic perspective. He has a specific interest in the treatment of autoimmune disorders, concussions, endocrine disorders, and rheumatologic conditions - all in addition to his expertise in psychiatric care.

Netsanet "Netsy" Mulugeta
RN, MSN, CPNP-PC
Netsanet Mulugeta has spent over a decade in the medical care of pediatric patients. She is a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (PNP), and Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner CPNP-PC. Our patients and her friends affectionately call her Netsy.
Before she came to Lighthouse Complex Care, Netsy evaluated, diagnosed, and coordinated care for pediatric patients in Craniofacial and Plastic Surgery at Children's Hospital in Los Angeles, CA. Her patients were often very medically complex with multiple co-morbid conditions and unique challenges. This strengthened her clinical knowledge and expertise and she brings that forward into caring for the wide array of patients who come to Lighthouse.
Netsy also brings the perspective as a mother of a medically complex child. She has spent thousands of hours researching both traditional and functional medicine approaches with access to resources not available to the public. Her own experiences have made her even more passionate about helping medically complex patients, especially kids.
